my guess: de Havilland Canada DHC-1.

It is a helicopter cockpit of some kind I think. Bastiges should have opened it for you to take your shot.

I agree with Tamarrion that it's an OV-10 Bronco, but it's G-BZGK. See the aircraft HERE You have no idea how much time we spent on this one. And yes, it's WE ... not just Bill. LOL! He helps point my research in certain directions, but while I'm pouring over pictures and asking questions, he's looking at camera gear, so don't make any assumptions! :P I started out researching the call letters, but Mr. Aviation steered me off in some other direction and I didn't come back to it. Dang. I was this close!!

I know what it was..notice WAS! I'm afraid this very aircraft crashed on a practice flight in Germany where it was based... It is no more... Someone above has gotten it right... It was rather cool to see though...would have been cooler to see flying! Rob

I see others beat me to the guess, but Bronco had this bulging cockpit in order to have a good view for ground attacks. Very nice shot, Bill. :-)
