Description

Hi All Thanks so much for all your thoughts, hopes and prayers! Astro is doing much better today. He is still at the vet, and for the first time since Monday started eating on his own. We are so happy he will be ok and tomorrow he can come home. This is a photo I took some time ago when the kids and I went for a walk on the farm. I saw this wasp and we followed it for almost 20 minutes to see where it goes. The worm was too heavy and he simply walked with it up to his hole and then buried the worm inside. Thanks so much again and my daughter got tears in her eyes when I told her about everybody here praying for little Astro. Colene

I'm so glad to hear Astro is feeling better. What a relief! Your wasp friend certainly is tenacious! What a great story, and an excellent image.

I am glad to hear that Astro is recovering (at the time you wrote the text to this image) and I'm rather sad to see a particular caterpillar being dragged to to the food storage facilities/nursery. The wasp in question is a female (with an enviable waistline) with eggs to lay. The caterpillar is food for what will hatch out of the egg the wasp will lay on it. I love the clarity of this and the rawness of Nature doing what Nature does, while also looking quite gorgeous while doing it.
