Description

At least eight different lichens in the space of a few inches on a twig on the ground. Some of my most favourite organisms. BTW, I was in TV heaven last night for BBC4 showed a whole hour of insect dissection...bliss on my big screen! Worth a fullsize view.

What a wonderful image, such diversity! And pin sharp. Living as I do in a semi-desert area, I never get to see these natural wonders unless you post them. Outstanding light and composition.
