Description

The Green Heron is a small heron common to North and Central America. There are actually 3 chicks in this nest but these newly hatched chicks had not developed any coordination yet. They will grow up to be 18 inches (46cm) long and with a wingspan of about 26 inches (66cm). This nest is only inches above the water, at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands Wildlife Refuge, so I did not have to climb any trees. They will have fluffy grey feather in 2 to 3 days. Zoom will help to see the details. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana
