My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Very good luck to you both, it all sounds very exciting and a good way to see everything and take some great pictures. I like this pic btw.

Now that I've read that you've sold your house and will be traveling full time, I see that there's an extreme amount of hope for humanity. I love a nice, big house, but in all honesty, I like the idea of a nomadic life, and this image really encapsulates that in some round-about way. I think its the sight of the pilings/poles/crustacean condos...and...well...wow! How wonderful! I need to travel again...as quickly as possible (yeah and The Russian is growing restless and the Czechs are all demanding that I make some kind of Atlantic-crossing move, and so I'd better do it, before people with punctuation marks on top of their names start getting snarfy.) Now, as for this image! I love the pilings, the poles, the wooden things and the people-interest is quite marvelous. This is fantastic work. Ah...and I'm looking forward to learning of the upcoming journeys. Unlike Biblo Baggins who wrote "There and Back Again" you and Bill can write an even better travel epic: There, there, and Over There Too.. I'd read it...AND look at the photos!

Wish we could do that..... Have Fun! Aloha

I envy you and the adventures that await. Also looking forward to the photos. Before Mrs Sea_Dog got sick we'd planned a similar trip.

... and finally you are on your way, you must be over the Moon, to start a new adventure, I know, I would be too! ;P I wish you both (+Mandy) all the best and 'Good Luck' or as we used to say in German: 'toi, toi, toi' ! ;))) I shall follow the routes you are taking - and thanks for sharing them with us. I may not always find the time to respond to all of them, but I am there with you guys in spirit, (probably Wine! ;) every step! ... wish it was me - whether travelling in a RV or a houseboat on a river, or even living on a small, uninhabited island for a while - anything sounds great to me: "Variety IS the spice of life" ! I too, like to call myself a 'Grey Nomad' - and rather be travelling/sailing as well, than mowing the lawn, I'm over that! ;P ... (2014 is the year and the start of my big journey to Europe) YEAH! Enjoy Bill & Tara! Cheers Brigitte PS. I thought of you both, when I saw on the TV-news, some devastation of the Puget Sound, (landslides) obviously you have left just in good time. ;)

It's a big step, and an incredibly fun one to contemplate; I'm happy you've taken the step, and have the plan that it will stop when you're ready for it to stop. It's always nice to have some choice in your future...happy travels, and can't wait to see the wonders you'll be capturing to share! Enjoy!!!

Get your motor runnin' Head out on the highway Lookin' for adventure And whatever comes our way Yeah Darlin' go make it happen Take the world in a love embrace Fire all of your guns at once And explode into space So now you and Bill (and Mandy) are homeless wanderers. Typical Hippies! Do I sound jealous? You should see my face. Its a lovely shade of light green. This is a lovely and slightly poignant image. Sort of a farewell to home. Stay safe you three and write if you get work.

An interesting shot Tara, with lots of activity. A beautifully composed photo.. I'm wishing you both happy travels – that sounds like a whole lot of fun, although I would always want a "home base" to come back to at some point... Still, sounds like heaven at this point.. Looking forward to seeing you both sometime in May! And I'll definitely be following along on your blog.

I love it! An RV sounds like lots of fun and exciting times! I wish I could do that as well, and just go to wherever my heart desired :) A fabulous capture on this mild day! Seems like people are already taking advantage of the opening weather! Happy Easter, my Friend!

I'm not far behind you but probably won't sell our house, just the other properties! This shot I find so interesting with the contrast of the placement and stance of the pilings compared to the direction and pose of each person walking!

love the feel of the place you've captured
