Description
A friend of mine saw one of my fake moss-covered brick backdrops I was using on my computer and wanted me to make one for his machine (well, actually he just asked for a copy of the one I was using, but of course I used it as an excuse to make a totally new one...) so after about 3 days of periodic fooling around in Photoshop I ended up here. This is actually just a snippet of the much larger image, but the only way I could compress it down enough for the required file-size the distortion was unacceptable to me (perfectionists unite!) so I just cut it down so I could show it off. I think I'm getting better at this kind of thing.
The "brick shapes" were made in Adobe Illustrator, and all of the texturing, color, etc. came from 13 layers all using various transparency functions.
No photos of real bricks were harmed in the making of this, although their pride may have been slightly wounded.

There's a wonderful "feel" to this texture. Have to agree with geirla above (but then I usually do.) Wouldn't mind having that texture myself--and if my wish inspires you to make a third mossy brick texture--well, I guess what will have to be will have to be! heh.
