I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/ÂÂ

I still think you have gray aliens helping you.... :-D An amazing feat getting that top rock to balance on that little skinny one! After the last couple of weeks, maybe I should give this a try... Very cool, Mike!

Love the little one! Everyone has a job to do, no matter how unlikely. That little rock seems to be performing its duties effortlessly! Glad you enjoyed your gravity-mocking time. :)

Most rocks tumble but yours balance defying visual gravity. It's like holding your breath waiting for the world to start again. Great shot and a wonder to look and enjoy.

Stunning !

Looks like an exercise in patience to me, I'm curious as to how many times you have to re-stack before you find that perfect balance point for all those participating rocks. : )

This is the best form of mood improvement I can think of. Most other forms of alleged mood improvement generally involve tearing stuff up, which...okay, that's fun too, but then you have a mess to clean up afterward, and well...by then, you're too tired to clean the mess because you spent all of that energy tearing stuff up...which...well...it's really counter-productive, because needing to clean up puts you in another bad mood...well...at least sometimes. I'm always amazed at these shots and I have yet to try this art form myself. I'm also amazed at how this resembles so many ancient hieroglyphic and near-hieroglyphic shapes. If you look at ONLY the shadow of this, it could resemble at least two hieroglyphs: one stacked on top of the other, but in the whole grand, ironic scheme of things, those two hieroglyphs, when stacked together would read as something like: "My Horse is Yesterday." OK...I have no clue where that came from, but there it is. I really like this. More are always welcome.

Nice sun and shadows on your balancing act~ =)

That is so marvelous! If I'd made something like that, I'd be grinning too.

Very cool... not an easy task, but certainly a rewarding one. Bravo. Hope you are staying warm, colder down there than it is up here tonight I think. We, my wife and I, are in the Luther/Baldwin area about three hours north of you.
