You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia,  if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess  I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !**                                              that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

4 metres? Did you use a ladder or are you much taller than any of us realize? So you got out of a warm bed, stumbled out into the night to get just 'that' shot? Congratulations, you are now officially a real photographer. The results were well worth the effort. This looks as if it is giving off its own light. Beautiful image.

This is a nocturnal beauty, and I'm so glad you came out of your bed early, to enjoy this rare beautiful flower. The dew drops are surprisingly many, and I ask myself, would it also smell this flower, like it looks? LOL: A "day and night beauty" is finding and capturing a 'nightly beauty'. Such a happening, dear BB-chen. Thank you so much for sharing!

Pretty good result for sleep-walking, we must be doing shifts, because that's when I've been going to bed...doh ! I like how you can just make out the sky's first light as well as the moist flower...kool ! ~Cheers~

I didn't know that cactus flowers showed only at night...that's because I live in Chicago. A wonderful shot of the flower, covered in dew, and packed with those flesh-colored stamen-heads, and so bright (in your light). You cropped it so it jutted out of the lower right, and bloomed right into the upper left. Fine composition. A real burst, Brigitte; a rough beauty.
(had to do it again. I don't have a reason to use this line, just wanted to use it. I love the way it looks...)
