UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Nice view of the dam Bill.

Great capture of this awesome bridge Bill!

And I was thinking about suicidal bungee jumpers! However, with winds and all that, I'm glad for the safety precautions. And, for the thoughtfulness of putting slots for cameras in the fencing. This is the type of bridge one would really enjoy walking over, taking photos along the way! Nice contrast with the colors. The short distance between the anchor point of the arch and the support pillars give an idea of how really steep the sides of the canyon are! Good photo, Bill!

A super zoom Bill and I can say that I have been over this bridge.

And here I thought she was throwing caution to the wind, laughing in the face of danger, and dancing on the precipice of......well, something.. :-D At any rate, you both got some spectacular photos! Nice of them to build in lens openings in that fence!

It is super cool. 5+!

This reminds me of the bridge that crosses Hoover Dam; amazing what they can do. Dams, bridges in the most incredible places!!

Great shot Bill, and I was wondering! Walking across that bridge is not for the squeamish!
auntietk
I actually walked all the way across the bridge three times ... over and back and over again, and it was quite comfy! The barriers between the sidewalk and the traffic are beefy, and the chain link fence is plenty tall and sturdy enough to give a feeling of safety. It's a terrific bridge all the way around, and I'm still trying to figure out the height thing. I swear it doesn't look any higher than Deception Pass when you look down, but it's obviously MUCH higher. An interesting phenomenon. I think this was the best shot of the day of the bridge, hon. Love the shadow!

This bridge looks like it would feel more comfortable than Deception Pass. What a lovely view here!
