If you ever plan to motor west, Travel my way, take the highway that is best. Get your kicks on route sixty-six. When we came back to California in 1961 we drove Route 66 from Springfield, Illinois all the way to the Pacific. Its official name is the Will Rogers Highway. The TV show Route 66 was playing then. It starred Martin Milner and George Maharis. And now, for bonus points, what was the year and make of the car they drove?

Of course! Where else :) Great shot, Dana. Loved that show! I believe the first season car was a '61 Corvette and they upgraded every year after that to the next model. That show was some of Chevrolet's best advertising whether it was meant to be or not.
