My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Reminds me of the method of remembering which are stalactites and stalagmites... think of a ballerina dancing on an ant heap - when the mites come up, the tites come down :o) Love the photograph. I mite use it as the basis for a Vue landscape (if you don't mind).

A really fascinating park. I think I will go there again.

I shall never forget now!

That is my favorite park!

This looks mysterious, or perhaps like a mirage. Of course I know the difference between buttes and mesas. I live in California where Spanish is required.

Wow, this is so impressive; so much to see and it goes on and on and on...beautiful capture!

Well, thanks to you Tara, I have a way to remember the difference, now! LOL! So now I need to get my butte off the mesa, and get to work on the next page... LOL!

For such a bright and sunny place this photo looks like the end of the world is coming to someone familiar with the area! I know it is still early morning by the shadows being cast. I see the La Sal Mountains are a little hazy but generally a clear day. What really makes this stand out is the contrast of the foreground with the background and the highlight patches that meander through the middle to those buttes of yours lol!

Blimey! Its just like so many great Westerns I've seen,.. This is impressive! Rob
