Description

Blender, Poser, Photoshop, Fireworks --- Hello and thanks so much for viewing my work. An extra thanks to those who take the time to comment. This was made for last month's challenge at RDNA. I made the steampunk Isis outfit, minus the shoes (a freebie by Michael Hugger) and including the hair, in Blender. The metal textures were fun to make, and the hair was definitely an education. The plane is a freebie by mrfixit002000. I did a fair bit of clean up on its mesh. That was kind of interesting as well. Blender is such a great tool. All the materials are mine, except M3 skin, which is EZSkin2. The pilot outfit had tons and tons of material zones, so I have to give a shout out to the very useful and now free and open ShaderSpider. I couldn't have done this without it. The gradient transparency on the dress I did with nodes (the P node is awesome). The outfit's design and the image's highly symmetrical composition were inspired by Erte. Just to note, I made this just short while ago. I still have several images I made some time ago to post. I'll try to catch up soon! I was going to say how wonderfully Art Deco she looks! She could be a little ivory and gold figurine on someone's desk, too. You have not only superb technical skills but such a great varied imagination, too!

Agreeing with lwPerkins: art-deco was what I sort-of thought too (first impressions). The salutes are classic, the whole image is much like the RSL (Returned Services League) display I was looking at yesterday in Coffs Harbour: you've captured that feeling perfectly.
