Finalize wiring, make minor adjustments to machine set up...connect pinsetters to their computers, connect computers to front desk.......cross your fingers and switch on........"They're alive"...allow lanes to run on continuous cycle for 24 hrs, adjust as required. Allow workmen to bowl in their lunch break to snag final adjustments..........we have bowling, now how about everything else ?......
(This little series has raised a few questions from you.....all will be answered at the end.. we're nearly there :-)

Honesty mate this has been a real eye-opener so far for someone who bowls and there's a lot more machinery back there than you'd imagine. Cheers Neil :)

I have loved this series! I will have to go patronize my local bowling lanes now.

Why did I suddenly get an image of my hand getting stuck in the bowling ball and throwing myself halfway down the lane? Excellent series!

When I was a kid, my mom's best friend used to tell stories of the days when she moved to a new town and didn't know anyone. She would go to the bowling alley and bowl game after game, keeping herself from being bored, and getting out of the house. Every once in a while there would be a rolled-up piece of paper in one of the finger holes of her ball when it came back up the chute ... a note from the pin setter, asking her for a date!! I bet the pin setters in our new bowling alley don't leave notes for the pretty girls! LOL!

Oh, my! So many wheels an' nuts an' bolts an' screws an' wires an' etc... SO much that can get loose and go wrong or hay-wire! Looks like the complexity of a space shuttle! And SO LITTLE of it is visible to the person who just wants to roll a ball and knock down some pins. If they only knew the complexity of it all! An amazing series of photos, Neil! I understand there are more images coming. Looking foreward to them! Keep up the good work! :-)
