Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  Â

I like the new photos Dana! Whew, 8 TB of storage space! I made mine 6 TB internally and have bought one 1 TB external drive to have an alternate storage of my Free Photography photos, which are over 40,000 now...and growing. I can eat up storage because I store all the raw files as well. Ha ha, in the 80s we probably thought we would spend our older years looking at negatives with a magnifying glass...not so!

Funny how they build this hut over the lake, Could have been an old watermill if there was a wheel? Very interesting place. xxx

It is so interesting to see more images and hear more about this fascinating house! It would be a shame if only ghosts live there, for its seems a terrific place to celebrate life and changing seasons. My grandmother had a tin metal roof on her garage. It was a separate building from her house, but very close to the room that I usually slept in when visiting her. I can remember well the deafening sound of hard Louisiana rain hitting that roof. When I was in high school, there was an annex built to accommodate school crowding. They decided on a modern (and probably cheaper) open design. One large barn like building with no interior walls just small partitions to separate classrooms. And a tin metal roof. Classes were pretty pointless when it rained. Wonderful shots and information!
