Description

This was also captured at Thornybush Game Reserve at the end of May when I visited. The Cape Buffalo is one of Africa's famous Big Five. Here they drive you right into the middle of the herd and you can literally touch these fellows as the walk right past. The vehicle here were actually folks that were in the same lodge as us. Thank you for visiting and for your much appreciated comments and favs on my last upload "Lunch - on the horizon." thumb_2452265.jpghref> Carin xx

very exciting safari. I would tend to be nervous with so many large animals with horns

This is a great shot! I've always been so fascinated by the horns and the way they look that I never noticed how knock-kneed they are. Terrific picture!

Wonderful light! Those knock knees are so unlikely in a creature that can run so fast!

Great capture of the buffalo herd, as they glare at you, apparently interested in your intentions, Carin. And it would be overly nice if you returned to comment on my postings, just like in the old days.

Wonderful capture it is a tossup as to whether I'd walk through a herd of Angry Cape Buffalo or a pride of starving lions

How cool that must be! These guys always look so pugnacious, makes me wonder if they really are or if they're more placid than that. Excellent capture!!!
