A duo of duckies, out for a little adventure. Captured 5/12/10 on the shoreline of beautiful Legg Lake, in the beautiful Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in not-so-beautiful South El Monte, California. A ZOOM does wonders. Ciao, and have a nice day..

I like the white ducks, although apparently they're rare around here; I see lots of other kinds, never those. The one leading the way looks like he's finding it a bit awkward to negotiate the downhill slide, and like he's about ready to sit down and ride it out. I'm sure all the activity was accompanied by a stream of duck muttering! Wonderful capture, Harry; and I can't quite place where this lake is; guess I'll have to look on Mapquest!
