Description

Dicranopalpus ramosus, a Mediterranean species of spider only rarely found in Britain and, my old book says, only in Cornwall, Hampshire Sussex and Essex. Now in Dorset! The body is about 4 or 5 mm and the legs 50mm.

Another foreign invader to disrupt our bio diversity. Oh well I suppose it not being nation wide is a bonus. Nifty shot Andrea.

Not nationwide-yet! LOL! With those legs it doesn't seem there would be much to hold them back if they decided to travel, they must have hitchhiked in on someone coming over the channel. Great find and capture!

Take a bow for even seeing it! Take another for an excellent capture of a rare and beautifully camouflaged spider!

Great capture of this well camouflaged little creature. It made me curious because arthropods has always interest me. It is not a true spider but a close relative, a harvestman, originally from Morrocco but lately moved into Europe. Maybe because of clima change?
