(Another large photo...please zoom)
My 'backyard'---ie, the park near home, through the trees.
I'm still commenting, and I'll get to every one of you.
I'm slow and wordy, so it takes me time; but I'll get to you all, I promise!
Finally:
Thanks so much for your support and love, people: It means the world to me. And it's just splendid to sit in your galleries whenever I return. It's a treasure chest of jewels...
Have a fine Saturday everyone,
Mark

Such a lovely park dear Mark. I find it interesting how the light seems to intensify towards the distance instead of the other way around.. It seems to build like a crescendo, illuminating the distant buildings. The reflections on the water are fascinating and tantalizing. My eye keeps trying to peer through the trees to see what is casting the colourful large reflection in the center. Anyway, thank you for the delightful comments in my gallery.. It was a very pleasant surprise to find :)

Mark, first of all allow me to compliment you on another amazing capture. You are so good at selecting just the right pov to bring out the most in your captures. What a cool idea to showcase this lovely setting in this manner.

I'm drawn by the mysterious pink-ish reflection. It's almost Chip-esque in its strong but undefined presence. VERY nice! I love the picture. The way you've framed it, the "keyhole," as you say, makes this an intimate space. Whatever that globe is, it's compelling and adds to the air of mystery. (I realize it's probably just a light or something, but the lavender color and soft light gives it a whole "orb of mystery" vibe. Love it!

Great Scott, a spectrum of glorious color blends, textures and overall clarity in this stellar backyard capture, Mark. Sterling silhouetted framing of the subject matter truly vaults this into a top position on the scenic photography list.

A fascinating composition - I'm wondering what that sort of large salmon-colored band in the water is reflecting?

Mark you got so gorgeous colors in this lovely shot with the warm reflections of a house we dont see. And there is a street lamp, that looks a bit like the body of a huge spider :) Or a rubber balloon. It makes a fun contrast to the picture. I like this shot very much and I sure love the colors too :)

Sorry I'm so late commenting on this; I was at the zoo yesterday with Marge & Deb, and it really wore me out! This "keyhole view" is magical, with those bright jewelled tones; it makes me want to BE there. What a lovely "back yard" you have! Great post, Mark!

Oh wow, this is just amazing. That pink glow is astounding; where in the world did it come from? And this is your almost backyard--not bad!!
