At first I thought you had inverted the colours on the lake.. very beautiful image. Especially love the tree.

Love the high key lake/sky/background! The tree and pier are what one sees first, but the power of the lake is omnipresent. Fantastic!

Wow Mark, please pardon the pun but I was totally blown away by this one. What an absolutely amazing capture, it couldn't be more dramatic. I almost find it hard to believe this is the same location where you captured that peaceful setting so well. The trees really stand out here, almost like something one might be eyeing to cling to during the storm.

magic capture and work!! I love the contrast between the blanched sepia waters and the almost black tree!

Naked trees fascinate me - the intricate structure of their branches is so beautiful. Really like how the tree dominates this photo, as if surveying its kingdom, so dark in contrast to the pale seascape, standing strong and sturdy against the storm. Also, a wonderful title, as I imagine the wind rushing through those branches.

Love the silhouette of the tree here. Trees are so fashinating in the shapes and then the wind blown waves. You made them look so soft and almost edible :) You really know how to select out the things you want to let stay as they are and work on all the other. Amaxing ly beautiful. :)

This is breathtaking; the high-key waves behind the silhouetted tree is spectacular. Well done!!

Your stormy lake has such a peaceful feeling and I know that sounds completely at odds with what it really is. I see cotton candy something pink and frothy. Ah well, eye of the beholder and all that!!

Silhouetting of the first water in this image, and if that isn't snow in the background, then a fine job of contrast postwork, Mark.
