Description

Buy this hot rod! Captured 8/10/13, at an annual car show not far from home. Nothing better than a multi POV collage. Most ZOOM worthy. Totziens, and have a nice day. It's been sweltering hot here over the past week.

Beautiful car, though I really like when they leave the old flat head engines in them. Certainly looks like they did a fantastic job on this one; as well as your job photographing it!

I can see that if Rob were J. Paul Getty, he'd own every car you've shown in your gallery, lol, and I don't blame him. This one's another beauty. I'm grateful for all the different angles, because you're showing us all this car has to show. One of the great things about these car shows is that we get to see engines in pristine condition---no soot, no burnt residue, just shining parts, like the car-equivalent of a jewelry show. And since you give us the reflections around the engine, it's almost like it's in a display case just for us. But then the reflections add such dimension to these shots overall. The people milling around the Ford make it seem like a big jewel plopped right in the middle of their walks. (Is that a huge pair of dice in the front window? Lol---did they have those in 1932??? I assume those are a current addition...) (And may I assume that "Hildebrandt" was an engine-maker of some repute, back then? As opposed to someone rambling by with a soldering gun, who decided, ah what the hell, I'll just sign my name on an antique car engine...) The reflections of 3 and 4 are beautiful; and I could point to your composition again---in 3, for example, the car is placed evenly between the two cars in the background, and (nice job!) a reflection of a building that fits perfectly in the back corner of the windows. (I like it!) Or the lines of an orange car reflected in the trunk, in-line with the lines of the back... From #5, it looks like it's about to take off, and its sheen is beautiful---a real contrast to its squat body. Lotta thought goes into these captures, in trying to present all you can in a few angles, compose them well, and bring out as much light as you can (incl very sweet sun reflections). More fine work with car beauties.
