Description
Captured yesterday, 8/31/13, early in the morning, in the rose bed of a local park.
The bloom on the left is leaning over to whisper something in the ear of the one on the right.
I believe these piants are in relatively good shape despite the blistering and oppressive heat of late August, because they are in a mostly shaded area, at least until late noon, and cared for by park personnel.
ZOOM at all costs.
Shalom, and welcome to September.

They're so beautifully perfect, I'm sure you're right about the protected area. It's an amazingly lovely capture, Harry, with those glowing pink tones; well done!

it's never a surprise that your rose-work stacks up one beautiful shot after the next. The comments above all agree...A beautiful two-some, and yes, one of them is whispering something to the other, while not looking too conspicuous (it's facing us as if to say, "don't look back, just listen!") Beautiful light on the petal-edges, and a very soft velvety feel to the inner petals. A soft-feeling shot with lots of detail nevertheless, and a sweet dark-green background suitably faded to make a kind of 'ocean' back there. (With more vivid leaves to the right-bottom.) But the stars of the shot are the roses, who feel, here, like a pair of lovers. And just for fun, I roughly measured the left and right edges of the flowers---each is almost exactly the same distance from the edges of the shot as the other---in other words, your compositional eye found balance both in the roses as well as around them. (Some shots are meant to have balance, others are meant to go off the beaten path; this one is about balance and pairing.) A beautiful double portrait, perfectly placed, with a wonderful reddish hue in the flowers' centers. More fine rose work in this wholly splendid series.
