Wow, I couldn't imagine what it was going to be from the title: a padlock on a gate for a pasture with pinto ponies? A bag of pinto beans padlocked shut? And sure enough, you nailed it with that title. The fence posts and lock arrangement are most definitely painted in a pinto pony pattern. What a great find, and an excellent shot, Harry!

yikes, even after all these weeks, I still can't find the pinto! (And I always look full size.) These moments make me feel like an idiot---a lot of your fans got it (esp Denise), and Lynell even saw a cow! Well, I'm often the last to find these things, so don't hold it against me. Anyway, it's another of your padlock shots that look like someone came by and poured a huge vat of milk all over the thing, and you caught it the very next moment. I love the messy broken-paint, the complex of light and shadow, the rust and beat-up quality of the padlock, and the overall blue tone to the piece---another of your padlock shots that look like a congested neighborhood hangout for rough and tumble locks. The whites and blues of this are really appealing; and the milky quality in some of the spots is rich. One of the great series in your gallery, and on this site; and another fine contribution to it. (I'll come back one more day to find that damned pinto. I see a few faces, but no one you'd wanna know...)
