My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Oh wow, I love this shot for so many reasons--but the RED chairs are probably the biggest reasons why!! Very, very cool foto!!
SunriseGirl
Love the close up view from the side of the same chairs. It is awesome that you got to meet friends from here and have an enjoyable time. Both photos of the red chairs are great. I love the color with the grey building.

The illusion of speed in this pic is fantastic. Outstanding catch. (Turbo chairs?)

Yes, I remember Claude's chair photo, the four Adirondack-style of lawn chairs. I have built a number of these chairs out of cedar and they have been lasting quite well, but now that I am older I don't find them very comfortable anymore, preferring my small foot rests built to match. You might remember a photo I posted of myself sitting in one, in shorts, in the snow, last winter. They are close to the same design. Just the other day I saw one made from recycled plastic, bright yellow, for sale at the Wild Bird Store...for $355.00...ouch! I think mine cost me about $40 each to build.

As soon as I spotted these 4 chairs, I couldn't believe it - because of the next sculpture I had in mind to post ... LOL you won't believe this either, you will see soon what I mean by that! :P hilarious ... anyhow, moving along - I always loved these special chairs with a most unpronounceable name, 'Ad-iron-dack.' (the way I thought, ones pronounces it ?) DOH ... and that they usually come in white ? but I do love them in RED! BB

Tara, the pleasure was mutual. And I like the saturated color in this shot & the way it's cropped. It's interesting to see how two different people approach the same subject in a different way. Also, I'll take partial credit for this for having removed that unsightly drink container from one of the chair arms - otherwise you would have had to waste your time Photoshopping it out...

Very good color contrast :)
