You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia,  if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess  I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !**                                              that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

Looks like Ashleigh Cotterill is really wrapped up in his work Brigitte, nice shot though. I have just been watching the Niagra you sent me - no I didnt spell it incorrectly, it is an N and not a V!!

I guess it is all in the eyes of the beholder. For me it would be a nice wind break with ready made level areas to place your backpacks etc. on. The image itself though was very nicely taken and presented!

That are lots of ropes. Very nice capture.

I think that takes time & energy , yes my gran daughter did the schoolies thing a year ago, so know what it is all about, maybe the bikes are squeezing all the positive energy out of the place too. Quite thought provoking at the same time. thanks.

Ha, I just read your nice comment to me, BB-chen! Speaking of knitted, haha, this is just another example of the same ....... well, a little. This art is inviting, literally. I would like to take a seat on one of these works of art, and I would fit well with my clothes today, because I wear purple with a red wine color. Then I'll ask you to take a picture, okay?! Seriously, it's a fantastic photo, with a great point of view. I like this very special sculptures, they are so cheerful too. (answering your question: 'No', still chipboard, I will send you a picture of it.)

WONDERFUL! Fritzie would be overjoyed, especially if there was a bacon sandwich on each one. But my old Hetty would have suited these best, ideal seats for Toy poodles!

Superb colour contrast against that wonderful beach and ocean I would just have to turn those chairs the other way round to enjoy the view :)
flavia49
great series! I like the colors

See what happens to really naughty chairs, gagged, bound and tempted by an ocean view, which they can't see ! LOL Dig the contrasts of colour and the inviting backdrop and the chairs could always come in handy for tired fishermen and beach combers ! ~Cheers~ :o)

You will laugh! I saw this picture, and I thought, "Oh yes, at least I understand this one. It's meant to represent modern bridesmaids, with the young girls thinking they're so cutting edge and breaking new ground, but tied to tradition and the emotional bondage of society's expectations of roles and behavior. Imagine my surprise when I discovered I was wrong, and had absolutely NO idea of the imagery the artist was discussing! LOL! Well, I did enjoy this very much. :)

I do suppose 4 pink 'shabby-chic' beach chairs - don't beat 4 red Adirondack chairs ? you win!
danapommet
It is different and I can accept it as art. A very nice shot out over the water!

Hmmm, my first thought was "Chairs in Bondage". But whimsy is good. I like whimsy. Nicely captured.

The pink is beautiful... but by your pictures from this sculpture fest, my favoutite is still the one with the birds :-) Your photos are all well done, this one is so bright, cheerful, and have so nice colours! It's with the sculptures rhemselves that I have a problem, I've my own opinion about art u.u

Hi Brigitte! Now that is artistic indeed. Loved your explanation. I've been extremely light on commenting for the past several months but am trying to get my act back together. Hats off to you and springtime on the GC. We are headed south in our motorhome for the winter...haven't made it far enough yet...we're in the mountains of California...it got down to 20f (-7c) last night, but as the sun comes up we get treated to mild temps in the mid 60s f here (mid 15s c).
