Description
Same location as my last post. I took two photos of this scene, one in "expressive mode" & the other in "normal mode". I liked the color in the expressive mode shot much better, but as with my previous post, the hill & beach came out pure black. Though I didn't have a tripod, the two shots were close enough that I was able to bring in the second shot as a new layer, select out the sky & blend it with the first one to create some detail in the hill & beach. The trees at the top of the hill didn't line up perfectly, so I needed to do a little more work to clean them up. I could have lightened it up even more to bring out more detail, but that didn't look right to me. This was kind of an exercise in manually doing what multiple shot HDR does - varying the exposure for different parts of the scene. Probably more detail than most of you are interested in, but there it is...
