Description

Found this old fishing boat yesterday... The title fits both the boat and the former marina we were exploring on the eastern edge of California's Salton Sea. The Salton Sea once was a thriving place full of promise and fish. Today it is a "poster child" for mismanaged water resources. Should you want to know more, just google Salton Sea.

Great shot Bill. It looks cool in Black & White and this picture says it all. Like your comment about mismanaged water resources. The Salton Sea looked somewhat better in 1964 when I first was in the area, but it has steadily gone down since then!. Are you getting any wind there? If you do, don't drive to the Yuma area or your RV will get sand blasted!

As soon as I laid eyes on this image, I thought this is outstanding photography - I am impressed, the boat really pops out of the screen, the composition is faultless IMHO and what would be better than B&W ? - nothing ! this really shines Bill, fine effort BB
