UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

I never dreamed I would see this hood ornament again in my life-time! From what I've heard each was hand crafted/finished. And thanks for the historical note about Chief Pontiac. I wonder how many Americans today know about Chief Pontiac or where the car's name came from? I certainly remember, but that's my/our generation, Bill. Beautiful cars. Very nice photo showing the coloring of the metal. You even got those piercing eyes! Keep up the good work! :-)

My grandmother drove an old Pontiac and I loved the hood ornament. This one is spectacular!!

Great shot Bill! My reading of Pontiac's history was that he was neither an American Indian Chief or a Canadian Indian Chief. He should be, in my opinion, referred to as a Native Indian Chief, and when he did settle it was with the British. Regardless, he was doomed to perish ignominiously then later rise like a Phoenix from the ashes into an American hood ornament. That's way better than I will do, LOL!

Very cool hood ornament & very well-captured, Bill. I probably would have cropped out the uninteresting left side to center the image on Chief Pontiac, but maybe that's just me...

Really cool shot of this ornament, Bill! That's a bit smaller then the last Native American Chief sculpture I saw - the one carved into the side of a mountain...:-D

Claude Claude Claude Crop? This is the perfect Thirds. Compo is all important here and you nailed it Bill. When i did my series of native paintings, I never got a shot of Pontiac. Every chief but him :(
