Description

Volume II - Episode 47 Where: Melbourne, Australia When: 1 month and 2 days after E-Day, 12:02 pm The girls walked down the little path and out onto the beach. “This was a really great idea,” Kim said, raising her face to the sun. “It was, wasn’t it?” “How did you find this street, anyway? You always park here. Did you used to live around here or something?” “Yeah,” Jessica said, setting down her gear on the sand and stepping out of her shorts. “We lived around the corner a bit. Used to walk down here pretty much every day in summer. This street was on the news a couple of times, too.” “How come?” “Can’t remember,” Jessica shrugged. “I guess there was probably a murder here or something. There was always cop cars out the front.” Kim raised an eyebrow. She looked around to make sure nobody was looking, then stripped off her clothes in preparation for an awesome day at the beach with her awesome best friend. * * * If Jessica had really put her mind to it, she might have remembered the real reason the street had featured prominently in Melbourne news broadcasts back in the early 2000's. The house at number 1 Martin Street was home to the oldest living member of a prominent Melbourne crime family. His name was Les "The Wizard" Flannigan. And he still lived there.
