Description

Alan is a resident at the Nursing Home, and normally spends all daylight hours outside in the garden, all weathers, where he feeds the birds and smokes. He comes in when I visit with the dogs, and Fritz is comfy on his rug covered lap! He was a lorry driver and his Jack Russel always went to work with him and curled up on his coat.

He drove in the days before elf and safety. Today he'd be told you cannot have a dog in the cab ::::Roles eyes::::

Well, given my druthers, I'd like to sit in the garden and feed the birds and smoke and come in only if there was a dog to snuggle up to! :P I haven't smoked for years, but I'm planning on taking it up again when I'm old. Wonderful photograph!

Well I'd sit in the garden with my cup of tea, a rug to cover me and a dog to snuggle with. When Leya is in the mood, she is quite the snuggler. I think as she grows out of this puppy thing, she will be the champion snuggler!! I see that Fritz excels at it. this is a wonderful portrait Andrea, Alan looks as though perhaps he misses having his own dog. I think Nursing Homes should allow resident dogs .. or even the more mobile residents to have their own dogs. You can see how the atmosphere changes when you walk in with your dogs.

If Fritz is comfortable in Alan's lap then I like Alan - a very nice photo!
