Description

The mosses love this damp weather! This little clump is only about two inches across. Photographic frustration this morning...no ebots when other comment on my pics, which is fine until someone comments on a photo less recent than yesterday. Also Flickr has completely lost the upload button! So time to do something completely different!! And my most modem TZ, the TZ18, has got two abberations inside the lenses. The earlier models are all fine and take much sharper macros, so never mind.

Those little spearheads seem to have a magic hold over the water droplets don't they? Beautiful macro shot! I do hope my previous comment didn't upset you. I was genuinely trying to be helpful. I know how ladies are when viewing portraits of themselves, they want to look their best.

No, Kevin! I wasn't in the least upset. It was a very valid point!

I have one of these compacts myself... a Panasonic DMc-TZ5, they are good little camera's well built although darker interiors need some fiddling to get them correct.. overall better than many compacts at the price.. had it for some years now. Got a Canon Eos 50D and three lenses including Telephoto and macro... but when out I often just take this little Panasonic unless I want a bad neck for a week. By the way great capture. Do you find the Panasonic a little on the heavy side?.

Not really, they are fine to hold in one hand with the dogs in the other!

Like tiny crystal globes. I imagine you often come away with muddy knees but the results are always worth it. A wonderful image.

what a beautiful capture! love mosses and lichens, and you always seem to find the most fascinating and beautiful ones to show us! My favorite camera died on me, and now I have a cannon. I always look for a camera with a swiveling LCD viewfinder .. that way I can get those low to the ground shots without having to lay down on the ground and twist my creaky neck! Your older TZs seem like marvelous cameras, you get wonderful shots with them. Will you be taking the newest one in to be fixed?

Nice capture, A. Damp weather is a myth around here. As for the erratic ebots, I experience a lack of them consistently, so I have to access the other member's postings in a roundabout way, hoping I won't bypass any. As for your Tizzy 18, I have the same camera, but with an American designation. While still under warranty, I had to send it to Panasonic twice to have large annoying blotches eliminated. The lens was cleaned, and it was okay for a while, but now two new minor aberrations have popped up, which I have to paint out from each ensuing photo. Hence, I doubt if my next point-and-shoot camera will be a Panasonic Tizzy, or even a Panasonic brand.

very good capture I've noticed that there are time gaps of several hours and then a bunch show up - unknown why
