Description

One of our cats, Peanut, sitting at our front door, gazing at something or other (it wasn't at me) with catlike intensity. And, yes, our front door is made out of glass - probably not something you'd find in a big city, but it works just fine here in the country (at least until the zombie apocalypse happens)... Please zoom.

A sweet little face, looks a lot like my Polly. Great capture of this face in the glass!

I love the composition, I love it's off center-edness with a ribbon of wood on the right and the bigger chunk on the bottom. But mostly I love Peanut against all that beautifully spotted glass, and all that deep blue behind, with little hints of shapes and stuff behind. You didn't do the usual centered-in-the-window shot, but gave a slight off-centered feeling, and it's beautiful. And a very thoughtful cat gaze too (and a beautiful cat too!). Claude, I want to do a more, but my server is sputtering like crazy, and I'm getting dropped signals, so I'll be back later or tomorrow. (I may try an upload before I leave, but I fear it's gonna wind up in a site for Auto Parts in Moscow.) And thanks for your always committed and very perceptive comments: You comment as you create, with total presence. I greatly appreciate that. (I've seen your comments all over the galleries, and was always impressed.) Love this shot. And yeah, glass doors aren't too common in cities---unless the owners have recessed properties, or a lottttta money (for repairs). You came out of New York, you would know. Maybe Paris is a lot more humane than we are...

There is something out there that Peanut is staring at. You have to love those eyes!
