Description

A much smaller room now stands before us, with yet another door. Thinking nothing of it I walk towards it expecting it to open up like the last one however nothing happens. I turn to face Kortt and the minions who have just entered the room. "This one doesn't seem to work." I say The woman's voice returns. "Access to the cryochamber requires genetic authorization, commencing scan now." Suddenly I am surrounded by green magic, yet I feel nothing. I begin to worry I should move while I can and just as I'm about to jump to safety the woman's voice says... "Genetic scan complete, access denied." The green magic disappears and I hear Kortt say... "This may be a problem." "Maybe we can open the door manually" I suggest. "Opening the door manually is not possible, they are forged with tungsten alloy, which is 3 feet thick and magnetically sealed. The cryochamber was built to withstand any breach. As I mentioned earlier access requires genetic authorization." The female voice almost sounded defensive that time. "What do we do now?" I ask. Kortt replies. "I don't know." Titan begins trying to shove Kortt towards the door, he goes so far as to raise his spear in aggression. Not that he is any threat, but I wonder if the little guy has finally lost it. "Titan, that's enough." I yell a little louder than I intended. He lets a out a big sigh, lowers his spear and his ears droop in defeat. "What has gotten into you?" He then points at Kortt and then to the door. "I think he wants me to try getting scanned." Says Kortt Titan gives a big toothy grin stretching from ear to ear. "Guess it can't hurt, why not?" I say. Kortt nods in agreement and approaches the door, soon the green magic is flowing around him as it did me moments ago. "Genetic scan initiated. Processing...processing...processing, please wait. Genetic scan complete, 99% match confirmed, access granted." The thick doors slide open and at first I don't think any of us even notice, all our jaws are on the floor, Kortt looks positively terrified. "What does this mean?" I ask. Kortt seems to ignore me and asks the woman's voice... "Who do I share a genetic match with?" The woman replies... "You share a undeniable genetic match with Crete, your father. Welcome home young gray lord." "No...that's not possible..."kortt whispers more to himself. Suddenly a light goes off, I can see it in Kortt's eyes. "Does that mean I then have level 10 access approval?" He asks and the woman's voice replies... "Affirmative. All class A items are located in the vault, any magical book you seek will be stored there. Please proceed ahead through the cryochamber and I will guide you to the vault." Kortt and I quickly lock eyes and smile simultaneously.
