Description
I don't remember removing this from my gallery, but it's not there. So here it is again...
I'll be getting physical therapy this weekend (for my arm), but I'll return to commenting after.
Thanks for looking at these older pieces, I just wanted them back in my gallery.
Be well, and lots of blessings your ways,
Mark

Mark, I also recall this lovely drawing and am glad you shared it with us once more. I constantly admire the shading work within you're drawings as well as the way the level of detail in them is always second to none. The brushes here are truly stunning and I was curious if there was any chance at all that you might recall the story behind this image?

A skillful, yet unpretentious, zen-like drawing of Japanese brushes. It also has a kind of iconic simplicity & directness, like Magritte's pipe that is not a pipe. Do you have any paintings of pencils? Would photographic equivalents be a digital camera shot of a film camera or a film camera shot of a digital camera?

Exquisite work, Mark!

Beautiful drawings of the very basics of an artist kit. Although mere objects to some.. a part of the soul of the user.

Oh my, what we have here is an image reminiscent of Michelangelo and/or Leonardo da Vinci during their most creative years. Wonderful deep contrast sketching with subtle blending on a type paper I don't recall the name of. A labor of love. Well done you! And the best of results on your physical therapy.

Great that they are back in your gallery, Mark! I love this ‘set’ a lot. The details of the hair are incredible and the softness of the blending as well ! I imagine the time you spent, while doing them...A kind of meditation, perhaps, but also, a great work of Love. Much simplicity ! much subtleness ! They are masterpieces and no doubt, they make part of YOU, Mark . Thank you for bring them again!

Stunning drawing and motif, Mark. I never knew you were this good with pencil and paper. Maybe made with B1-B6 pencils, or maybe even coal... i'm not sure. I enjoy how well you caught the light and shaded areas on the subjects. Prayers and best wishes for your arm...i sure hope physical therapy can solve it, or at least ease the pain.
