I got my inspiration for my St. Patrick's Day upload from this (only I just did a photo). This has more of your intense fabric qualities, this time a very intense knit piece---there is great fabric art that looks like this!---with bulbous segments crammed into each other and pushing each other for space and for "attention". (As in, "gimme space! don't crowd me!") The mid-band is stretched to the limit, being of a different tension than the upper and lower bands; and you have all kinds of recesses and canyons between the bulges. This is so fabric-y, it's touchable. And your color scheme---mainly greens with yellows and blue-greens---is of one "family," and it unifies the whole piece along with the similar shapes. A knitters nightmare---this would take FOREVER to knit---but a joy to see, and very dramatic too. Re. St Patrick's Day, maybe this is something someone would knit after 8000 green beers. (In Chicago, they actually dye the Chicago River GREEN---which makes a number of people gag, except if you knew what's gone into that river over the years, you'd consider it an improvement.) Another marvelous piece from you, Mandi.
