Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Great. I've never been white water rafting. I bet it is fun though!

Spectacular and beautiful!

Gorgeous gorge! I love seeing this shot larger. it looks like a beautiful place. I have been rafting on some mild rapids before and it is quite a bit of fun. This looks very turbulent though.

this will be one of several I'll do in the coming few days, but I want to get at least one now: This is beautiful, Marilyn, and in your pov, it doesn't look like a creek but rather like an overhead view of a very dramatic river, with deep gorge around it. You know these areas so well, you make them quite grand. And you caught it with the "V" in the upper center, with such a nice varied configuration around it. It really captures the variations of natural landscapes, and the power too. Beautifully seen, and dramatic. And that white---the crests of the crashing water---is a beautiful accent to the whole. I'll be back, but this is beautiful, Marilyn, a shot from a so-at-home eye that it makes a creek seem like a high canyon...

OMG, I was just recovering from the acrophobia I experienced when seeing your yesterday's collage of the area, then I opened this stunner. Whoowhee! Dizzy and light headed is an understatement as I peruse this magnificent photograph, alive with deep color and DEPTH, Marilyn. Most neat and keen.
