Description

Dear friends, our jouney through Andalucia or the old moorish Al-Andalus have had a short break in Algeciras, where Spain´s most influencial flamenco guitarist of modern times, PACO DE LUCIA, was once born in 1947 into a family of musicians. When we look at the pics here of Algeciras, directly situated at the Street of Gibraltar, we should remember that the young Paco and his older brothers once strolled around this narrow old streets and the fine decorated plazas. His spirit lives on in such fine names as "Tomatito" or "Al Amir John Haddad" and many, many more... Flamenco never dies. Friends, the last pic here is some weeks ago, but I earn comments till this day. Thanks for them and for your interest in general. Please feel free to send some new comments, in both directions, every of them is helpful. This picture here was taken with my big Canon 5D from my computer desktop. This snapshot here was part of a YOUTUBE - Musicclip that showed Paco in action. Hope you like it. Spain lost its most famous musician. Fare well

A great image and memory. I saw Paco De Lucia live once near Stuttgart. He played there with other guitarists such as Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, Bireli Langrene and others. It was a phenomenal concert.
