Description

I've been trying to get a planetary model I'm happy with. So far this, works for me. The planet textures were created with Flaming Pear's Lunarcel PS plugin. The rocket was modeled in Carrara and based on a design I poached from the cover of "Old Mars" (Dozois/Martin, editors). Getting the city lights to show on the night side of the major planet was a real pain! Sparrowhawk3d's Falloff shader came in handy for the atmosphere effect. It seems to be more realistic than the fog effect I'd been using. Thanks to anyone who stopped by for a look at this and my previous postings!
