Description
This is the same leaf as the one I posted on 3/24, which was captured 3/21/14, very early morning, somewhere around the neighborhood. In this one I simply rotated the leaf to a position for another light and shadow display.
ZOOM for utter coolness.
Ciao, baby.

excellent idea...but it seems to be the same (in my memory!)

As I mentioned above, it's the same leaf as the one posted four days ago but shown at a different angle. Go check it out.

Superb, I love these shadows of yours.

Really wonderful; the leaf itself reminds me of a hand (too many fingers for human, but I didn't specify, did I? ;P) Your eye is amazing for this stuff, and I think you're really getting expert at the fine details and shadow/contrast. Beautiful work, Harry!!

Excellent photography.

Fantastic play of light and shadow. The sun must have been very low to create such long shadows.

more terrific shadow, minimalism, and textural study from you---poetry is better than 'study', in fact. The first one has the sidewalk-grain going slightly to the right, here it's slightly to the left; and here you've got the shadows moving slightly 'up' from the leaf rather than slightly 'down' from the leaf (in the last example). Some photographers made all kinds of studies of the same thing, just as painters painted many bowls of fruit, etc. And the joy is in finding something new in each view, some new way of experiencing its hues, textures, etc. The leaf here has more sunlight, and the shadows inside the leaves are more 'relaxed'. And the shadow it casts reaches upwards more. Beyond that, you have that wonderful early morning light you capture so keenly, and the sharp clean textures. And it's all nicely centered in the frame---with two very different 'characters' (ie, the leaf and its cast shadows) keeping its 'centeredness' varied. More simple poetry from you, with real variety. Finely done once more, Harry. (And thank you once more for your wonderful and inspired comments: I appreciate everyone.)
