An eye-popper. The red of its neck is stunning. And its feathers look like lined-up woodchips. (They always do, but your capture brings that out strongly.) It looks all bunched up, as if it's cold---I know that's how turkeys get; but it always looked to me like they were cocooning. It's striking against all that black and dark (bokeh'd) greenery. I like the turkey on one side of the pic, too. For birds that are hard to capture, you've gotten two eye-popping captures, Claude. I never thought I'd ooh and ahh over a turkey, but these two are worthy.

They are beautiful and ugly at the same time; I wonder who ever thought of eating them? I guess someone who was awfully hungry...something about their necks and accoutrements reminds me of the Slipperman costume from "Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" by Genesis. Guess I'm showing my age. Fantastic shot!

I love the shot! Are you leaving food out for them? At Mrs.Ratbag: That is one of my favorite Genesis songs, but I have never seen them perform. I love Trick of the Tail too.
