Ok, have you been reading my mind??? Lately, paisley's been catching my eye wherever I go and I swear, this house looks like PAISLEY!!! I'd SO paint my house like this!!! Another of your great pieces; I just love these!!

First of all let me say that the effects here are fabulous, Mark. You really have managed to give it a very dynamic look and feel, as well as highlight the details.

A little of this, a little of that, so beautifully rendered in this postwork of the front of the Chicago manor, Mark, just one of many in your relatively affluent neighborhood. Sterling textural effects, of a somewhat dainty kind, in this formidable exercise, my friend. And, I keep feeling teeny weeny aftershocks from our recent earthquake as I sit somewhat tensely at the computer.

Wow for zoom; every little brick, and all the lines going this way and that way, all marching like ants (I'm thinking of Dave Matthews Band here). Lots of shapes planted in all the right places, and some roundy bits of shrubbery to balance all the angles and lines...it almost looks like a child's drawing until you look closely and see the incredible amount of detail in this shot! Wowzer!

outstanding work

Your treatment of this shot has brought all the detail to the fore. And in pinks and lavenders! You've got loads of nerve/guts/cojones, using colors like this for an architectural shot. It works! It works! I never would have thought of it. Great result!

Outstanding. From time to time I experiment with this sort of postwork and then lose my nerve regarding posting it. But you've succeeded brilliantly. I have a submarine that is fascinating to me but looks dull and drab in the colors of the day that I took it...grey and black and little more. Keep your eye out...for a very outlandishly postworked submarine and know you've influenced me:-) Love the way the details of this house just pop to the forefront. Well done.

It is a delight! Sometimes I think I should like to use a technique such as this to make the 'drawing' for a painting, I wonder if that is 'cheating'?

A fairy tale house in the middle of the city - a place to go when you want to escape and dream. Delightful and so creative.

This is an awesome way of studying blend of colors and you got a stunning result out of it. I love to do this myself, so I can imagine how much fun you had with this. :)
