Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I can't believe that we will have more than one day of sun in a week!!! Did someone commit some sin to cause the sun to come out for so many days in a row? Great capture looking forward to the alternate photos (ones with sun shining)

This could so easily be my hometown cliff.

This stormy grey sea seen through the scrub vegitation makes me grateful to be indoors with a warm cup of tea and a cosy throw on my legs. Of course the fact that it is pouring down rain outside here might also be affecting my mood.. :) Thanks for sharing.

I love it when it's grey like this, but I'm sure it will be every bit as beautiful with blue skies and blue seas!

A snippet of stormy seas through the vegetation all around you. Another marilyn shot...Just a simple "moment," a turbulent gray ocean down below, and the plants above...cropped to be a 'moment' from a very rainy day. I can see more drops on your camera, softening and making the scene mysterious. And the branches feel like a protective wall---which is nice, considering that a storm-infested ocean isn't the easiest thing to deal with. Nice moment, Marilyn, and nice seeing. (And ANdrea said, "This could so easily be my hometown cliff." Hometown "cliff"? Who the hell has a hometown cliff??? I"m in Chicago, baby, we ain't seen a "cliff" around here since the last Ice Age! Man, to live by cliffs---that's gotta be far out...
