Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I'm immediately drawn to that haze of green on top of the big rock; how gorgeous!

Don't know why there's no sun up in the sky, stormy weather…… Shades of Wuthering Heights in this mood capture, Maz.

Harry took the song right out of my mouth...This has real clarity and presence in those big rocks. It isn't filled with the misty and mysterious feeling of some of the earlier storm shots: Those rocks are Statements, with Exclamation Points. With your lighting, etc, they appear to be sitting on top of the waves: A really strong set of contrasts! Again, a gutsy shot because you have big bold things dominating a fluid shot, and that takes guts. And no sky, just water. This storm series has been filled with power, Marilyn, very moody and bold and very true to the feeling of being there (not easy to capture with a camera). I hope your trip up the coast is terrific. And thanks for your wonderful comments as always, they're always deeply appreciated! Enjoy the next branch of your trip! (And what is Bandon??? Tara's mentioned that more than once: Did I miss something? Is it singular or plural? Ie, Many Bandons, or "A" Bandon?) (A-bandon? ABANDON??? It was a JOKE---fuggeddit---not worth it! Not even remotely funny...)
