Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

What a shame about the weather! This looks a spectacular coast.

What a lovely place.

Beautiful view it's not the Oregon OR Washington coast if you don't have rain and winds

I love this pov and the stormy view. Looking forward to more.

Suspect I've stood in that very place. Like the way you've framed the stacks and surf.

Terrific POV and contrast in this pic of the rugged coast, Maz. And send some of that rain down our way, in Droughtstville. Incidentally, I almost bought a pair of flip-flops for 98 cents at Walmart yesterday, but couldn't find my size, so I had to settle for sandals, which cost six bucks; to be worn only indoors and not on some primitive rope bridge or mountain side.

Gorgeous! I do love those stacks. Rainy weather at the coast is A-Okay with me! :)

I think you've probably heard me say a number of times how much I like it in the rain; this shot is another one of those instances! Beautiful!!!!

In a way, it reminds me of a place we call Laupahoehoe.... Nice shot. Aloha

Bill and Tara talked about "stacks" and I had no idea what they were talking about! I looked them up---so those are the big rock formations in the water, near the shore. Ok. I got it. I like the way you've framed them and the water too (ala bill)...it's a glimpse into a huge world out there, from behind a dark wood. Mysterious, brooding, and rainy. Dramatic pov; so many of your shots give pov's that most of us never look for or see; and your coastal shots have been primal and beautiful. This is but one example. Reminds me a bit of Maine, except this feels much larger.
