Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I thought it might have something to do with the devil weed but could imagine what it was. Very interesting picture. This makes them aces six times over. Even though its now legal I suppose smuggling will still get you busted.

Well, for pity's sake. They could just ship it to Colorado and Washington. I'm sure we've got SOME use for the stuff now that it's legal and taxable! :P

Good heavens, I thought it was a sheet of postage stamps at first. Cool and interesting capture of something I didn't know the Coast Guard was into, that is, painting the number of marywarner busts on the cutters, Maz.

great capture, I thought it was an art gallery at first, before reading your description. I didn't know they tallied their 'scores'. I guess the big "X"s would tell us that they were eliminating these. I like how you got the Coast Guard insignia right next to the tallies, because it makes everything look like a big abstract painting in a museum. (NOT what the Guard intended, I'm sure!) Fascinating how this shot goes between being a 'record' of their victories and a piece of abstract art. Another terrific capture from your always keen eye.
