Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Nice perspective on this shot. I've been across that bridge a couple of times, it's an amazing structure. Thanks for the image.

Zoooooming down there on a skateboard would be fun!

This is where we started our trip in September! We crossed the Astoria bridge on about day six. That's Washington on the far shore ... you make me homesick!!

A bridge too far, in this awesome capture of the structure, seemingly going on for miles and miles, Marilyn.

This POV sure makes the river look huge!!

An endless end ahead.... Nice shot. Aloha

Four miles across. The first year we had the motorhome (2011) I didn't have the nerve to drive across. In September 2013, I didn't have a problem in the world with this spectacular span. Super photo Marilyn.

Another super capture. The bridge looks like it dips way down, then comes up, like it gives the driver a chance to "take a little dip". The shot has a long span to it, quite dramatic, and your perspective really brings out the length of the river, while it also brings out the huge span of the bridge, crossing over that very length. Very dramatic seeing on your part. A dramatic, almost panorama of a shot. And I still can't get over how wide that river is.
