Description
But an odd pair costume-wise, captured 4/27/14, at the beautiful Renaissance Faire, held at the beautiful Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, in semi beautiful Irwindale, California.
I have no idea which category to place these two. Don't look like barmaids, milkmaids or wenches to me. Perhaps a musketeeress on the left and Tarzan's mate or Sheena of the Jungle on the right.
Toodles.

Unfettered...hmmmm., my mind just jumped to "But what if they were fettered?"...yep, weird mind. Seriously though, great capture! It's sometimes hard to pull portraits out with that much color saturation but you've captured it splendidly!! Nice work.

I think you are right! They are both very pretty.

I was thinking more Loana the fair than Jane, prehaps Irwindale could host a one million BC dino bash as well.

Well, not sure exactly, but I'd guess California hippie with offspring, if I'm judging the facial characteristic correctly. Costumewise, it's early concert attendance garb, back in the days when anything went (before it all really went!) Excellent portrait of these lovely ladies, Harry. What a hardship it must have been for you to go around photographing all these ladies! Well done, brave soul!

cool shot of these people

No matter what profession they belong, in any case, they are worth a look. Excellent shot of these two pretty ladies.

Great comments above, and your description of their styles is apt. And I agree with Rhett55 about the hues: Not easy to get these full hues, esp on the fly...but you got them and postworked them with real balance and clarity; and, with all that light and saturated hue, that isn't easy to do. It's another fine portrait taken on the fly: You've gotten these people to react to you with great zeal. Even the way the older lady is leaning into the younger---you'd have to set that up in a studio, but you got it perfectly on the street. Fine work! Yeah, it does seem like this is a fair for many periods and styles---as you pointed out in another upload. It's a bustling photo, lots of detail around the pair; and, as a double portrait, it's a real delight. More fine portraiture in series: You must impart something to these people, because they sure love to stop for your camera. (Btw---and don't worry about this a bit!---you numbered two faire images "#14". Not a big deal, lol, but in case you wanted to keep accurate track of where you are---you gave this and the last one "14". I was telling someone here that if I had to keep track of the number of series you keep track of, I'd throw them in the air and walk away. Anyway, don't lose any sleep over it, just in case you wanted to know. I noticed strictly because I was just thinking about how you keep track of all these series. You must have lists somewhere...it's a lot to remember!)
