Description

Captured 5/12/14, very early in the morning, about 5/8ths of a mile from home. The Lantana flowers are tiny pretty, and its leaves, with those elegant visceral patterns, are my favorite, after those of the Canna plant. A ZOOM will bring this to untold heights. Shalom.

I love the pretty flowers of the lantana, we are not supposed to have them in our gardens in Australia, they are considered a pest, but I could not resist their beauty & had lots of them on a terraced garden I had, I kept them cut back . the deep gold is also spectacular too.

I love lantana, in all their colour spectrum; they seem to grow best where left to their own devices, but I've never managed to maintain a nice planting. Really beautiful capture in the bright sunlight, which highlights the rich pattern of the leaves that you love so much. This colour is one of my favourites!

Very beautiful, Harry, but another fierce prickly plant banned from my plot for scratching me!

a beautiful portrait of flowers, leaves and sunlight (and stems). Everything combined and clarified beautifully, as if it were planned in a studio. (By which I mean, it's as if you'd arranged these leaf by leaf, provided the background and the lighting---none of which you did, of course.) Amazing levels of coordination and variety. It comes from working with flowers so long, and knowing their 'speech' before even seeing them. Masterful; and the greens and pink-reds, and the dabs of yellow---I see two sets of yellow petals, here---work together in ensemble. A beautiful shot, Harry.
