Life in flux. So, I was looking with passionate interest for people who were interested in making realistic materials - called shaders - for Poser mesh. That interest had shifted to making dynamic cloth for Poser, but has since moved further afield: to Blender3D. And creating scenes in Poser for Cycles.
Exciting times!!
How can it be the best things in life are free? Blender 2.63a with Cycles is just the most amazing programme, evah! How can this be free? Well, what I'm typing in: Linux Mint (based on Ubuntu 12.04) is also free. Solid, stable, never any issues, finds new devices without me having to do anything... how can this be free?
These are exciting times indeed, and they don't cost money. They cost time and imagination and dedication and a desire to learn. And they are free.
Gotta love it!

Wow. You haven't dropped a beat, have you? This is wonderful. I love the dramatic lighting. Her expression is so full of emotion. And her pose looks very natural for someone who's both defensive and apprehensive. The dark skies fit the mood perfectly. It makes me want to see what happens next. And that outfit simmed just beautifully.

Thank you ever so much, kobaltkween! I thoroughly respect your eyes -- you help me see through them! Actually, they're predicting rain this weekend here on Moreton Bay -- so I'll be taking some hi-res images of dark clouds over water. I love clouds: so much character and drama very quickly, effortlessly. The sim settings are yours, I haven't strayed far on anything that I actually end up simming. It's Grappo's Angel-Dress. I particularly love the edges: he's done a finish on the hem and neckline that works well, gives the article depth. Thank you again, kobaltkween!

Nicely done ! Apprehension can be seen on her face. Lighting is really nice. In the full view details are more visible.

It's just wonderful to see you post, Robyn. It's been a while since you posted. :-) I really like the impressive, dramatic lighting you used here to convey a certain mood. Love the folds on the dynamic outfit too--- such a lovely render!

Marvelous creation. WOnderful image !!!

Beautiful image with great use of dramatic and atmospheric lighting quality to compliment the title. Very well posed and suitably expressive character study. Good to see you master those Gamma settings in PP2014. Excellent work!
