Description
As I walked away from the Halgrims Church I was nearly run down by a Sikh riding a bicycle, a helmet perched neatly atop his red turban.
Reykjavik has a large municipal pond. During the summer you can go boating or swimming. In the winter it freezes over so you can practice for the Olympics, go skating with your sweetheart or teach your son to smack you in the face with a round wooden thing.

A Sikh I would have not expected. But multi-cultural is everywhere Very nice street photo..... if the father with his son smile. The architecture...as I've imagined as well. Typical Scandinavian - but colors missing. In Sweden and Norway, the houses are often red, blue, orange, yellow...

A Sikh? Iceland used to be very restrictive on immigration.

Interesting. Times have really changed. About 7% of Icelanders in 2013 were born in another country.

The ice looks like liquid, which makes for a wonderful image! And your narrative is priceless. Thanks for a smile this morning!
