Description

For a Daily Challenge Group on Flickr the subject was Intentional Camera Movement. Those of you with posh DSLRs will not appreciate how almost impossible it is to take a blurred photo with a Point and Shoot like mine. It is arguably the most difficult thing I have ever attempted! No matter how fast I moved or jiggled the photos were sharp although not composed.

Hehe! I know that one, tried it once with my little compact P&S, even tossed it up in the air :)

Thanks for the information. Its nice to know my eyesight isn't getting any worse. I seem to have the opposite problem, eliminating blur.

Interesting challenge and photo! It is not easy to take a blurry photo intentionally! I do it a lot, but only because I do not I focus well! :(

This has a nice fresh impressionistic feel to it; I never thought about the difficulty with a P&S. Can't turn off the autofocus? I guess they try to make it idiot-proof. Shows that idiots get a bum rap, it's not easy being one! LOL!

Well you managed it on this one but normally this would go in the bin. Is there not a setting to fix the shutter speed and let the aperture do it's thing.

I got to do some motion blur while we were in San Antonio with Lucinda in December. Night shots and light and whatnot. SUCH fun! I can imagine how difficult it is to get a motion shot with a camera designed to avoid it. Nicely done!

LOL, I seem to get more blurred shots then good ones with both my cell phone and my Cannon, which not DSLR, though it can be used doing manual settings. Almost a painterly quality .. you've got to try some filters on it and see what you can create (:

I like your results and I have to admit that I have not been successful on any of my attempts to duplicate this!
